Glitter dipped nails

This afternoon, accompanied by an episode of The Great British Bake Off, I gave my nails a little attention.I suppose you could do this with glittery nail polish, but I’m not one for skimping on glitter. First, I popped on two coats of my base colour – this is Barry M Mint Green (a particular favourite with myself and mustard).

Next, put on some clear nail varnish where you want the glitter to stick. Do this one nail at a time, and dip the wet nail varnish into the glitter. I use a really fine glitter for this, but you can use any glitter of your choice. Leave it to dry and brush off any excess glitter. Et voilà!

This colour combination is rather vintagey, but there are lots you could try. I’m thinking of a Chanel inspired gold number next!
