This weekend, theatre company Royal De Luxe brought their Giant Spectacular to Liverpool for Sea Odyssey, an all new story to commemorate the sinking of the Titanic.

The sounds of the show drifted over my house all morning on Saturday and we headed out in the late afternoon to catch the Giant Uncle as he woke up from his nap.

Strategically positioned on Lime St, there was a little wait while he put his helmet on and then suddenly, a face appeared in the crowd…

Following giants around a city is certainly a surreal way to spend an afternoon, but I was definitely enchanted. The whole story was completely captivating – it brought people onto the streets, amazed both the young and old, and most importantly reminded me why I love Liverpool.
